Mr. Katsibris is a graduate in Economics (Β.Sc.) of the Economic University of Athens. He acquired a master’s degree in Business Administration (M.B.A) from the Hartford University, USA, and a Master’s and Ph D. in Economics from the State University of Connecticut, USA.

He currently holds the position of Professor Emeritus of the Department of Banking and Financial Management of the University of Piraeus, while in the past he has been a Professor and Chairman of the said Department of the University. Also, he has been, Lecturer at the State University of Connecticut, USA, Visiting Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics of Clark University in Massachusetts, USA, and Professor and Chairman of the De-partment of Economics and Finance of the University of Bridgeport in USA. Finally, he was Professor of Economics of the Department of Economics of the Aristotle University Thessaloniki and for the period 1998-99 he was Director of the Division of Economic Theory and Policy.

He has taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels: Money & Banking, Macroeconomic Theory and Policy, Economic Analysis and Financial Management.

His research interests are: inflation, economic fluctuations, the demand for money & the capital structure of businesses.

He Has published a book entitled: Macroeconomic Theory and Policy, and his research has been published in reputable international journals like: European Economic Review, Journal of Money Credit and Banking, Journal of Banking and Finance, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Conference Series , Journal of Macroeconomics , The Quarterly Review of Economics and busi-ness , The Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance , International review of Economics Finance and , Journal of Multinational financial management, etc.
