Ioannis Xypolytos

Ioannis Xypolytos is a member of Grivalia Hospitality management team, being employed as Director in Grivalia Hospitality since September 2017. He has the responsibility of the development and technical project management of the Company’s property portfolio as well as the support of new investments in Greece and abroad.

Ioannis has over 17 years of property development and management experience in leadership roles for Design and Build (EPC) contracts utilizing EU structural funds and Concessions agreements applying PFIs, broad-ranging experience in project management, strategic and operational planning, design coordination, permitting issues, contract administration and facilities management for touristic and athletic venues. In addition, he has over 8 years of extensive experience in the construction of mega infrastructure projects (airport, metro) for multinational engineering/construction conglomerates.

Prior to joining Grivalia Hospitality, Ioannis was holding positions of Director and Deputy Director in Public Properties Company S.A. In the past, he held the position of provisory CEO, Executive Management Board member in Touristic Development Company S.A., Advisor to the Minister of Tourism, as well as Principal Technical Consultant to Hellenic Olympic Properties S.A. He also held the position of General Manager, Olympic Works and Overlay Division in Organizing Committee for the Athens Olympic Games in 2004 (ATHOC 2004). He has worked in HOCΗTIEF A.G. for the New Athens International Airport as Department Manager and as a Site Engineer in Athens Olympic Metro Civil Works JV.

He holds a B.S. and M.S. in civil engineering of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Polytechnic School and is a member of ROYAL INSTITUTE OF CHARTERED SURVEYORS (MRICS).
